"Heads Up" Plot East of Wheaton

This plot was located 3 miles east of Wheaton along Hwy 27. Planted on April 26th and harvested on October 1, 2012. I have re-grouped the results to reflect how the hybrids should stack up against similar maturity hybrids. The Dekalb rep was on hand for much of the plot. The results are:
 - Early Hybrids
Dekalb DKC 43-27 - 209.3 bu/a - 12.4% - 59.3#
 - 96 day Hybrids
Pioneer P9675amx  - 216.9 bu/a - 13.9% - 58.5#
Dekalb DKC 46-07 - 197.5 bu/a - 14.1% - 60.2#
Dekalb DKC 46-20 - 215.4 bu/a - 13.5% - 59.9#
 - Late Hybrids
Pioneer P9917am1 - 236.5 bu/a - 15.5% - 58.3#
Pioneer P0062xr     - 224.5 bu/a - 15.3% - 56.7#

- The intent of the "Heads Up" plots are to match similar maturity hybrids but this test didn't match up real well. The easy winner in this plot however is still P9917am1 at 236.5 bu/a. If the 96 day hybrids yielded 215 bu/a, then we could expect P9917am1 to yield 220 bu/a just because of maturity. Here however, P9917am1 yielded 20 bu/a more than the 96 day hybrids so it is a clear winner in this plot.
