Jorschumb Soybean Test Plot

Wow! On Monday afternoon we were able to harvest the Allen Jorschumb Test Plot just 1 mile east of Weaton on the Norcross tar. Yields were outstanding and the 90M80 was the overall winner at 69.3 bushels/acre! As we said, "Wow!" This plot was planted in 30" rows at 180,000/acre on May 7, 2012. Harvested on September 10, 2012. This was a very even plot all the way through and the results validity would be very high. The plot:
Pioneer 90M92 - 55.1 b/a & 8.9%
Pioneer 91Y80 - 53.9 b/a & 12.1%
Pioneer 91Y81 - 57.6 b/a & 12.8%
Pioneer 91Y70 - 56.1 b/a & 13%
Pioneer 91Y41 - 60.1 b/a & 8.9%
Pioneer 91Y30 - 68.3 b/a & 9.5%
Competitor       - 67.2 b/a & 11.8%
Pioneer 91Y10 - 64.6 b/a & 10.6%
Pioneer 91Y01 - 63.0 b/a & 8.9%
Pioneer 90Y90 - 63.4 b/a & 8.3%
Pioneer 90Y81 - 63.4 b/a & 8.1%
Pioneer 90Y80 - 63.6 b/a & 8.1%
Pioneer 90M80 - 69.3 b/a & 8.1%
Pioneer 90Y70 - 66.4 b/a & 8.1%
Pioneer 90Y41 - 59.5 b/a & 7.7%
- In this plot the 1.5 maturity beans were very much different than the 1.4 maturtiy and earlier. They were wetter and in this plot they were less in yield. 90M80 at 69.3 b/a not only had yield but had a gorgeous grain sample also. The 91Y30 was tremendous also. 91Y30 is a new soybean offering and so far, looks better than expected. The other new beans did well too. 91Y10, 91Y01, and 90Y81 all were well over 60 bushels/acre!
